The following table is the to-hit modifiers when trying to hit targets of different sizes in hand-to-hand and missile combat. All species will have a Target Size listed. These sizes appear as Very Small (VS), Small (S), Medium (M), Large (L), Huge (H) and Massive (MS).
These modifiers work like this; if a Small (S) character is trying to hit a Huge (H) character the Small character would receive a +30 bonus to their attack. The Huge (H) character would receive a –30 penalty to hit the Small target. Larger opponents, due to their size, are easier to hit, smaller opponents are more difficult and opponents of equal size are unmodified.
There are also a number of other modifiers, Defensive Cover, Mobility of the Target, Visibility of the Target and Range of the Target. Only visibility will affect Hand-to-Hand combat, Missile combat will be affected by all of the modifiers.
