After a brutal attack on their village, Mal, Darr, Dareon, Grego, and Eir are drawn into a dangerous journey. Accepting Lord Toruk’s offer, they agree to become rangers in service to the King, tasked with leading him safely out of the mountains and onward to the city of Bearon.
