El-Torral - ‘Ghost Spirit’

Description

El-Torral, known as Ghost Spirit, is a hawk bound to Samuel Talon through a rare and profound bond. The two were first joined in Chapter 2 of The God Touched, an event that marked the beginning of Samuel’s path as a Hawk Master.

Bonding

El-Torral was discovered as a fledgling hawk chick by Samuel, brother to Malderia Talon. At the time, the chick was small and fragile, covered in soft, downy feathers that gave it an appearance of innocence and vulnerability. Its large, curious eyes seemed to study the world with quiet wonder, and from their first encounter, an unusual connection formed between bird and boy.

This bond went beyond simple companionship. Samuel and El-Torral developed the ability to perceive through one another’s senses and to communicate in ways not fully understood, sharing impressions, emotion, and intent without spoken words.

Growth

As a young hawk, El-Torral possessed a voracious appetite, eagerly consuming the food provided during its early development. Though its beak was small and delicate, it already hinted at the formidable predator it would become. Over time, its soft down was gradually replaced by strong, functional feathers, granting insulation, strength, and the ability to fly.

Role

Now fully grown, El-Torral ranges freely across the valley, soaring high above the land. He serves as Samuel’s eyes in the sky, scouting terrain, tracking movement, and returning with silent reports carried through their bond. Swift, elusive, and ever-watchful, El-Torral has become a symbol of Samuel’s connection to the wild and a living embodiment of the name Ghost Spirit.
