Description

Heronbone is a rare and highly durable form of leather crafted from the hide of a massive, elephant-like creature. The skin is carefully stretched and dried over long periods to preserve its density and natural strength before being cut and shaped into armour pieces.

Once stitched into its final form, the leather is treated with a specialized lacquer. When properly cured, this lacquer hardens the surface to a degree comparable to steel, providing exceptional protection while retaining the flexibility and reduced weight of leather.

The finished material is almost black in colour, with a dense, matte sheen that gives Heronbone armour a distinctive and imposing appearance. Valued for its resilience and craftsmanship, Heronbone is often worn by elite warriors and those who require strong protection without the encumbrance of metal armour.
