Dark Sea

Description

The Dark Sea lies between the western coast of Flanion and the eastern shores of Cerus. It is widely regarded as the most dangerous body of water on Primoria, feared by sailors and scholars alike.

Unlike the calmer Areian Sea, the Dark Sea is defined by violent storms, unpredictable currents, and towering waves that can rise without warning. Thick fogs often blanket its surface, disorienting even experienced navigators, while jagged reefs and submerged rock formations lie hidden beneath the churning waters. As a result, most vessels that attempt to cross the Dark Sea are never seen again.

Legends speak of strange phenomena within its depths, from unnatural lights beneath the waves to voices carried on the wind. Some believe the Dark Sea is heavily influenced by lingering magical energies from the planet’s ancient past, making it as much an arcane hazard as a natural one.

Few established trade routes cross the Dark Sea, and those that do are considered desperate or foolhardy. Its waters remain largely unexplored, standing as a vast and hostile barrier between the continents.
