Demons in Primoria originate from a lower plane of existence, a realm hostile to mortal life and governed by predatory, corruptive forces. When drawn or forced into the material world, they consume all life they touch, draining vitality to sustain their unnatural presence. This makes their arrival a catastrophic event, leaving blighted land, lifeless husks, and lasting corruption in their wake. As a result, summoning or breaching the lower plane is considered one of the gravest taboos in Primoria, feared even more than open war or natural disaster.
