Description

The large cross bow is a powerful mechanical weapon built for penetration and stopping force rather than speed. Its heavy wooden stock is reinforced with iron fittings, supporting a thick steel or composite bow mounted horizontally at the front. A winding mechanism or lever is usually required to draw the string, reflecting the immense tension the weapon is designed to hold.

When fired, the large cross bow launches thick bolts with crushing impact. These bolts travel with flat, deadly trajectories, capable of piercing shields, armor, and even reinforced targets at medium to long range. Though slower to reload than smaller cross bows or traditional bows, each shot carries devastating reliability and precision.

Favored by soldiers, guards, and siege defenders, the large cross bow excels in disciplined formations and prepared positions. Its intimidating size and unmistakable power make it a weapon of authority and lethality, turning careful aim and patience into overwhelming force.
