A pixie bow is a marvel of tiny craftsmanship, fashioned to suit a warrior no taller than six inches. Barely longer than a human hand, its limbs are carved from springy woodland reeds or pale heartwood, materials chosen for their strength without weight. Fine veins of leaf-fiber or spider-silk thread the bow, catching the light with a faint, natural shimmer.
Despite its delicate size, the bow is deadly in pixie hands. When drawn, it releases a sharp, singing snap, sending needle-thin arrows flying with surprising speed and accuracy. These arrows are often tipped with thorns, splinters of crystal, or droplets of fae venom, making even a small wound dangerous to much larger foes.
The bow is as much a symbol as it is a weapon. Feathers, petals, or tiny runes are commonly woven into its grip, marking the clan or glade of its owner. To larger folk it may seem like a toy, but to a pixie it is a trusted companion, perfectly balanced for aerial combat, ambushes from high branches, and swift, precise strikes before vanishing back into the leaves.
