Bow (Troll)

Description

The troll bow is a crude yet terrifying weapon, built for brute strength rather than finesse. Its frame is thick and uneven, fashioned from warped hardwood, knotted roots, or even bound bone, reinforced with rawhide wrappings and iron rivets. The bowstring is often made from sinew, twisted gut, or heavy cord, drawn so tight that few creatures besides a troll could bend it.

When loosed, the troll bow hurls oversized arrows with savage force. These shafts are thick and heavy, tipped with jagged iron, stone, or scavenged metal, capable of punching through armor or pinning enemies to the ground. Accuracy is secondary to impact, as the sheer power of the shot makes even near misses deadly.

To civilized races the troll bow appears brutal and inelegant, but among trolls it is a respected weapon of the hunt and battlefield. Often scarred with bite marks, burns, or trophies tied to its grip, each bow reflects the violent survival of its owner, turning raw strength into overwhelming ranged destruction.
