Empire of Musto

Description

The Empire of Musto is situated directly north of Caplo. Relations between the two nations are strained, largely due to their unequal lands and resources. Caplo possesses broad, fertile regions capable of sustaining large-scale agriculture, while nearly seventy percent of Musto is composed of swamp and dense jungle, severely limiting its ability to produce reliable crops.

Although the Empire of Musto has not engaged in open warfare with Caplo for over twenty years, tensions remain high. In contrast, Musto has been involved in repeated skirmishes along its northern border with Tralli over the past five years. These clashes are typically small in scale but persistent, reflecting ongoing territorial pressure and unresolved disputes.

To the south, the Empire is bordered by the towering mountains of the Spine of the World, a formidable natural barrier separating Musto from Caplo. Guarding the primary passes through these mountains stand two immense stone fortifications, most notably the Great Northern Gate of Caplo. These forts serve as both defensive bastions and symbols of Caplo’s determination to prevent imperial expansion southward.
