Areian Sea

Description

The Areian Sea lies between the eastern coast of Cerus and the western shores of Flanion, forming one of the most important bodies of water on Primoria. Acting as both a bridge and a boundary between the two continents, the Areian Sea has long been a central route for trade, travel, and cultural exchange.

Compared to the treacherous waters of the Dark Sea, the Areian Sea is known for its relatively calm conditions. Predictable currents and gentler winds make it far safer for long-distance navigation, allowing merchant fleets, diplomatic envoys, and naval patrols to cross with confidence. These favourable conditions have encouraged the growth of major ports along both coasts and have made the sea a vital economic artery for surrounding nations.

Despite its calmer reputation, the Areian Sea is not without danger. Seasonal storms can still arise, and certain regions are known for hidden reefs and shifting sandbanks. Nevertheless, it remains one of the most heavily travelled and strategically significant seas in the known world.
